Custom tiling can be intimidating yet nothing compares to one-of-a-kind results that reflect your own personality and style. From choosing glaze colors to getting the right measurements for your space, it can be a confusing process. We’ve created a mini guide to help get you started on your specialty project.
Meet our Owner and Vertex artist.
You might bump into Shannon as an installer on your job-site or find her creating in our design studios. She has worked with ceramic tile for over 20 years. Classically trained in ceramic arts she received her MFA from the University of Colorado in 2011. She spent time as an assistant to the supervising Glaze Engineer at Pratt & Larson Tile in Portland, Oregon and subsequently apprenticed for 3 years as a tile installer with Zorth Tile & Stone and Cestnik Flooring in Bozeman, Montana. Her passion for vibrant colors, rich textures and fascination with unusual repetitive patterns inspire her pursuits within the tile industry and influence her unique designs here at Vertex.
